Leah Boatright is a documentary editor recognized for her ability to craft compelling narratives that spotlight unlikely heroes, bringing attention to individuals who challenge systems, fight for change, and make a difference in unexpected ways. Known for her nuanced, empathic style, her credits include the critically acclaimed documentaries Storm Lake (Emmy nominee, Best Documentary at Woodstock Film Festival 2021, Audience Award at AFI DOCS 2021) and Exposure (DOC NYC 2022, BIFF Best Adventure Film 2022).
Leah has edited commercial and branded content for major companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Supercell, Meta, VICE, Vogue, Refinery29, and Hearst. She cut the Safdie Brothers’ HBO series Chillin Island (2021) and the Sundance Official Selection TV pilot Maggie (Best Episodic Pilot at SXSW 2021).
Recent work includes, the documentary series The Fourth Wall (Tribeca Film Festival 2023), an investigation into the Upper West Side cult, the Sullivanians, and documentary feature Baby Doe, which premiered at SXSW 2025. Her latest film, The Librarians, premiered at Sundance 2025 and was also a selection at SXSW 2025.
